Groovy beat with a wistful melody! The character of the piano and the drums seem to match that of the other synths in this mix. The dynamics of the beat fit in as well, and I can feel the pulse of the kick without it overwhelming everything else in the mix. Altogether, a beautiful tune!

The sweeping synth arp gives a steady backbone to the hard-as-always kicks that make the beat of this mix. I love this contrast of rough and smooth that is not often found in other industrial or hard-dance pieces. It has the complexity and nuance that a real crime scene or scenario would have.

Sounds awesome! You should make an extended version.

Looking back at this track, I believe that the criticisms of the "empty" drop really boil down to the pitch of the kick drum. It seems to be one octave above optimal sub frequency , which is between 40-50 Hz. If your kicks were just one octave lower, the sub bass could provide that extra headroom to create a "fuller" drop without adding much else to it!

Anyway, that's my two cents on a two-year-old track. Hope this gets to you and helps you with creating more hard dance music in the future.

I like how right-on those lyrics are and then your mind took a dip in the middle of the song.

Pretty nice and groovy beat! I like the drum layout and the bassline doesn't seem to be interfering much with it. The bass could use some movement, since the notes are pretty slow and static—try a basic wobble effect to give it some extra rhythm, or maybe add a little sidechain. There's also a small resonant area in the mids of your bass that you could try EQing out. Other than that, it sounds pretty neat!

hey! it's you again! thanks for the advice! Yeah, i've used a wobble before but it wasn't my favorite, but it sounds cool. and yeah, I have a habit of making my bass sound static and slow.

Wow, this is just... beautiful. It's like you managed to craft an epic tale and put it all into one song. The way the harmonies evolve over the course of the song really feels like a hero's journey, or at least a tale told over time. On top of that, the retro sounds and mixing sound superb! Absolutely magnificent!

Interesting melody at the start. I wonder, is it made from a guitar or a synth? I like some of the progression later on in the piece, with the addition of hi-hats and all.

esta hecho con una guitarra sintetizada, desde el FL Studio. jeje uwu

The arrhythmic kicks at the beginning drew me in, and the soothing percussion reminds me of those rains of winter—the background noise, the digital synth arp, the off-beat percussion, all help establish the scenery! Maybe I should make a song with the hail samples I have...

We need more of that second kick on the portal!
