Pinkamena Party, the collective that got me into hard dance. And now, 10 years after its debut, I contributed to that pillar in pony history. One is a neurofunk/frenchcore re-imagining of a tracker-laden track, which also happens to be my first foray into Renoise. The other is a "light-hearted" uptempo work incorporating elements from an equally jovial track. Sadly, both remixes contain copyrighted audio, so they can't be posted here, but you can listen to them from the collective itself!
While I was transferring between worlds, I found myself wound up in the sprawls of Los Angeles. However, this wasn’t the LA I grew up with in my day; this city seemed to fall about two years behind the day I post this, and the popular namesakes from that era had their names changed. For instance, the ubiquitous DnD was replaced by the equally perplexing Creatures & Caverns, while Fortnite was translated into the quaintly memetic Forknife. Plus, the whole city was covered in Christmas decor, even the tops of the skyscrapers—at least I knew what time of year it was.
As I made my way through the streets, I heard a most soothing song. It referenced many Christmas stories of yore, but it seemed applicable to just about any holiday. It sounded like a Christmas classic, yet I had never heard it before. So I started to look for whoever was playing the tune.
I located its source to a young guitarist playing on the sidewalks. They answered to Busker, and when I inquired to whether or not they wrote the song, Busker responded in naught, citing it as a longtime holiday hit and calling themselves a mere vessel for its expression.
Busker did allow me to record their rendition of the song. Unfortunately, as it was impromptu, some noise got in the recording, but I found the extra paraphernalia quite a charm. In exchange, I offered a couple of twenties to support their craft and went on my way.
But I could not stop wondering about the piece. Something about its melody called to me, like a choir of countless spirits. As I replayed the song, both mentally and through my telepathic audio device, I kept feeling an immense power reaching from the harmonies, from the strums of the guitar, yearning to be realized. I pondered about how to extract it, and how to refine it to its purest form.
Suddenly, an explosion from the city center cast me out of my trance. I rushed to the scene and discovered an unusually hostile Santa mocha attacking the floats of the city’s Christmas parade, in particular a Thai-Christmas fusion construct. It seems this dimension wasn’t as benign as I thought. I began to assess its malignant anomaly. Keeping to the periphery of the crowd, I trailed the rogue robot and its multicultural prey, using my kinesis to redirect large debris away from passersby. With my disguise over my head, I gripped my sabre tightly in hand, hoping that this incident would not escalate.
Miraculously, the targets of the Santa-bot weren’t hapless at all, and outmaneuvered their assailant at every turn, literally. In the span of a few minutes, they had defeated the float-terminator, disemboweling it with a massive explosion. With such ingenuity, I could rest assured that this world would be safe without my assistance. I foresaw that more help would be needed to save this civilization, but it would be the destiny of the heroes in that float—and many more—to resolve it.
As I watched the spectacle, I realized what I needed to do to unleash this Christmas tune’s full potential, and to give it new ground when I return home. So here I present my re-sampling and rendition of this piece, with all the sonority and power that the harder styles has to offer.
If you made it all the way though my short story, thank you thank you thank you for reading! If you didn’t and were looking for track info and credits, that’s fine too!
As much as I am proud of this work, I sadly cannot post it to Newgrounds because it samples copyright content, which is A-NOT-okay on the Audio Portal, and the way I constructed the remix makes it hard to just mute the samples in question. You can, fortunately, listen to it in video form as shown above, or through Soundcloud!

I’ve traveled across dozens of territories, and likely hundreds more. Each world contains their stories, and I strive more than ever to put them into song.
As I cross into a new dimension, I carry with me the tunes of my origin world, wonderful works of power oft foreign to these extrasolar systems. In these new worlds, I offer my services, promising to play a set for their nations’ peoples. In return, I would partake in their traditions, learning of their histories as I go.
During my adventures, I work to turn these tales into melodies, and eventually into full-blown tracks, with the portable wares that I brought with me. If time allows, I may release the tracks I made during my stay in those worlds.
If not, and the currents sweep me away, the next world will be able to hear those songs, and the stories within.
As I leave each dimension, I strive to leave on a good note with their inhabitants, and perhaps a musical memento of my appearance.
Rarely do I return to a world that I visited, but sometimes a world’s culture inspires me so much that only with multiple songs can I do it justice, so you might hear its voice again. But rarely do I dwell upon a single universe, for that would impede my destined goal—the whole reason why I’ve travelled for so long.
So long, dear reader, and I hope to see you again in my travels.

This December I'm devoting to marathoning some exemplary Flash games before its Web terminus at the dawn of the New Year. I'll be playing games both popular and obscure, massive and small, modern and classic. I hope you can join me in reliving Flash too, to celebrate the Flash player as we know it.
I've already been dedicating this past year to re-experiencing Flash history, including playing games I've never played before in my childhood. You can find some of those games and animations in my favorites section on Newgrounds, and there's quite a lot that I have yet to explore.
What are some of your favorite Flash games on Newgrounds? Looking especially for some lesser-known games of any caliber, since I'm sure most of us have seen/played through the popular ones already. Feel free to leave any suggestions below, or on my forum post of the same topic.
